Maj. Gen. Darryl A. Scott
Arlington, Va. – Business Transformation Agency (BTA) Director David Fisher announced the appointment of Air Force Maj. Gen. Darryl A. Scott as the first Deputy Director of the BTA.
Scott is currently the Commander, Joint Contracting Command - Iraq/Afghanistan, where he is a customer of BTA's work in theater in the area of Contingency Contracting. Scott will join the BTA in February 2008.
“Maj. Gen. Scott’s appointment is a tremendous win for us,” said Fisher. “In his work with Contingency Contracting, he became familiar with much of our work, and I know he will bring new thoughts and ideas, as well as a warfighter’s perspective.”
In addition to his duties as BTA’s Deputy Director, Scott will also serve as the Deputy, Task Force to Support Business and Stability Operations in Iraq. Prior to his service in theater, Scott served as the Director of the Defense Contract Management Agency and was responsible for leading more than 11,500 military and civilian acquisition managers and managing contracts valued at more than $1 trillion.
