| The Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) Architecture Product Guide (APG) document describes the
methods and modeling conventions for the development of Operational View (OV), Systems View (SV),
and Technical Standards View (TV) products that will be used in the Business Transformation Agency
(BTA) for the Department of Defense (DoD) Business Mission Area (BMA) in support of the warfighter.
The document supplies the guidance, rules, and product descriptions necessary for developing work
products that comprise the BEA. This document provides supporting details on how to model relevant
architecture products using the BEA Development Methodology. |

| The purpose of this document is to describe the overall process and approach for developing
the Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA), one of the primary tools used to drive transformation
within the Department of Defense (DoD) Business Mission Area (BMA). This document represents a
compilation of ideas and best practices that have been tried and tested across the architecture
development lifecycle and describe the current methodology to develop the BEA. |
Business Transformation Guidance - BTG

| The DoD has adopted a structured business transformation approach that is directly aligned with
its mission and leverages existing business transformation efforts. The DoD Business
Transformation Approach is capability-driven, program-enabled, and architecture-guided as shown
in the following figure. |
