Materiel Visibility (MV) is defined as the
ability to locate and account for materiel assets throughout their
lifecycle and provide transaction visibility across logistics
systems in support of the joint warfighting mission.
Materiel Visibility provides users with timely and accurate
information on the location, movement, status, and identity of unit
equipment, materiel and supplies, greatly improving overall supply
chain performance. The MV Business Enterprise Priority improves the
delivery of warfighting capability to the warfighter as measured in
terms of responsiveness, reliability, and flexibility. |
