Prerequisite: A basic understanding of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework.
Description: The ACART tutorial is designed for Managers and Subject Matter Experts who work with DoD Modernization Programs. This tutorial covers basic information for getting started and navigating through the ACART tool. You will learn about ACART’s access and security parameters. It addresses how ACART enables system compliance with business rules and processes in alignment with the BEA and how to utilize ACART’s versatile reports function.

Lesson 1 - Access and Security
Duration: 7 minutes
Learning Objectives:
- Explain how to request access to the ACART tool.
- Demonstrate how to register for ACART including logon and password parameters.
- Illustrate the Logon, Username and Password features including the “Forgot My Password” function.
- Demonstrate how to update user information and change passwords using the My Account feature.
- Explain how to contact the ACART Administrator.
- Review how to request additional systems access.
Lesson 2 - Getting Started
Duration: 5 minutes
Learning Objectives:
- Explore how to navigate through the ACART system using the tabs on the toolbar.
- Review how to begin an assessment by choosing a BEA container and selecting an assessment.
- Explore ACART’s reports features.
- Briefly look at the ACART Navigation Structure.
Lesson 3 - Assessing Your System
Duration: 30 - 45 minutes
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how to maneuver through a complete assessment of your system using either the prescribed Assertion Paths or via the traditional method using the Sieve Process.
- Demonstrate your understanding of Scoping and Asserting your system by completing the practice scenarios.
Lesson 4 - Reports
Duration: 5 minutes
Learning Objectives:
- View how to access Compliance Dashboard Reports.
- Use the Report Tab on the Toolbar.
- Review the various reports available in ACART.
- View how to run reports for single or multiple assessments.
- Explore report output options.
